Backstitch rugs, literally meaning to turn upside down, owe their name to the concept of turning classic embroideries and designs upside down and revealing the usually hidden beauty underneath the rug.

The carpet in pure virgin wool thread is handcrafted with the technique used to make tapestries, for this reason it has a flat surface without fleece.
