Kartell bookcase, Bookworm model.

Bookcase made of PVC with an unusual shape, modular and customizable as desired. It can take on different shapes and is equipped with a series of bookend supports. Each support holds a load of approximately 10 kg.

Bookworm is a trendy object that enhances aesthetics without neglecting functionality. It is perfect for creating living areas with a metropolitan appeal.

The bookcase is made in Italy and is available in three sizes (L x H x D):

7 bookends: 320 x 19 x 20 cm
11 bookends: 520 x 19 x 20 cm;
17 bookends: 820 x 19 x 20 cm.

The length indicated refers to the bookcase in its maximum linear extension.

It is advisable to fix the shelf to the wall following curved shapes to tension the material and increase load resistance.

Ron Arad is one of the most influential designers on the contemporary scene. Born in Tel Aviv in 1951 and active in design, art, and architecture, he revolutionized the way we conceive furniture through sculptural forms, experimentation with materials, and innovative production processes.

His creations, often characterized by fluid lines and a strong visual impact, combine technological research and expressive freedom, blurring the line between functional object and work of art.

His works are part of the permanent collections of the most important international museums and continue to represent a point of reference for contemporary design.

The Kartell Bookworm bookcase is a 1994 design, but it is still a modern and original furnishing solution today.

For over fifty years, Kartell has lived in our homes with objects with an unmistakable personality. Starting in 1949, founded by Giulio Castelli, it pushed towards the renewal of everyday objects by introducing design elements in a then new material, plastic.

Today Kartell objects tell a very long story, written by the people who use them, the company that produces them strictly in Italy, and by the designers who design their shapes.
