String System modular bookcase / shelf system.

String Sysyem is a wall bookcase with three shelves, ideal as a shelf or storage unit in any room of the house. Its minimal design easily matches any type of decor.

This model is a special edition , produced in a limited number of pieces to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the bookcase . The designers Nisse and Kajsa Strinning presented this model in 1949 in a design competition for the design of a bookcase organized by the Bonnier public bookshop in Stockholm. They won first prize thanks to three features of their product: it was easy to ship, easy to assemble and accessible to all.

String today proposes it again as per the original project, with blue metal sides and pine wood shelves.

The bookcase measures (W x H x D): 60 x 60 x 20 cm and is composed of:
