TON a label that guarantees. Acronym for Továrna Ohýbaného Nábytku (bent furniture factory), it's a leader company in the bent wood furniture production. Since over 150 years, TON produces chairs, stools, armchairs and tables, following the ancient art of the hand-made bent wood, and the passion for craft.
TON gets started in 1861, in the city of Bystřice pod Hostýnem, in Czech Republic. The fortunate town location, surrounded by beech forests, makes it easier to find raw materials, reducing transport and production costs.In over 150 years, six generations of skilled craftsmen have been working for the company, leaving their long lasting mark. To date, TON is producing some among the design milestones, and at the same time it is answering the present needs of design, collaborating with important designers and architects. TON products are valued from the experts, and they've won many of the most prestigious awards.
History and tradition have always been the company's foundation, also in the materials' choice which are strictly naturals and high quality ones. All products are made of wood, a living and renewable material that tells its own history through its grains and textures. Solidity, strength, safety: these are the features of all the TON products, whose quality goes through rigorous tests and inspections, and it's guaranteed for five years. The love for the environment also shows in the production process that aims to minimise the environmental damages, as certified by SO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Certificate.
